Nights are when falls happen, when confusion peaks, and when family carers burn out. Our overnight service puts a care worker in the home through the night — awake and attending, or on hand if needed — with clinical escalation available at any hour.
Is this right for me?
A relative needs support or reassurance overnight
Someone is unsafe to be left alone at night
You need active support through the night
The family needs a proper night's sleep
Important — this is not an emergency service
If the person needs medical attention overnight, the carer seeks help and, in an emergency — severe breathlessness, chest pain, unconsciousness, signs of stroke, severe bleeding — calls 999.
What can we help with?
Sleeping night support
Waking night active support
Help with night-time needs
Reassurance and safety overnight
There are two types of overnight care — a sleeping night and a waking night. The difference matters, so we explain it below.
What happens during your visit?
Tell us the need
We discuss whether a sleeping or waking night suits the situation.
Plan the nights
We agree which nights, and what support is needed through the night.
Overnight support
A carer provides support overnight — sleeping or waking, as agreed.

If the person needs medical attention, we escalate; emergencies go to 999.

After your visit
Overnight support is reviewed and adjusted as needs change, and family are kept informed. If a health concern arises overnight, we can escalate to our clinical team.
We provide this service across Lurgan, Craigavon and surrounding areas. Some surrounding locations may be available depending on the service, travel requirements and clinician availability.
Not sure if we cover your area? Call 028 9621 1981 with your postcode and our team will check — or see Areas we cover.
Booking for someone else?
Yes — a family member, carer or authorised representative can contact us to arrange this for a patient, provided the patient consents. Many of our bookings are made by a son or daughter for a parent.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a sleeping and a waking night?
On a sleeping night the carer is available but normally sleeps, ready to help if needed. On a waking night the carer stays awake and provides active support throughout the night.
Which one do I need?
It depends how often support is needed overnight. If the person regularly needs help through the night, a waking night is usually right. We'll help you decide.
What happens if the person needs medical attention?
The carer seeks appropriate help and, in an emergency, calls 999. Health concerns are escalated to our clinical team.
Can this be combined with daytime care?
Yes — overnight care works alongside personal care, companionship or live-in care.
