Live-in Care

Round-the-clock, one-to-one support in your own home — the genuine alternative to a care home, with doctor-led oversight built in.

About this service

For many families, the choice seems to be a care home or nothing. Live-in care is the third option: a dedicated carer living in the home, one-to-one support around the clock, familiar routines preserved — and, uniquely with us, a doctor-led clinical team reviewing regularly on top.

Is this right for me?

  • A relative is considering residential care but wants to stay home
  • Someone needs one-to-one support around the clock
  • You want familiar routines preserved at home
  • You want live-in care backed by a clinical team

This is not an emergency service. If someone has chest pain, stroke signs, severe breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding or collapse, call 999 or go to A&E. We work alongside the NHS, not instead of it.

What can we help with?

  • One-to-one live-in support
  • Help with all daily living
  • Familiar routines preserved at home
  • Clinical oversight from our team
Live-in care can help people remain in their own home when they would otherwise be considering residential care.

Frequently asked questions

What does live-in care cost?

It depends on the level of support needed. Because it's a significant decision, we'll talk it through fully and give you a clear, itemised quote.

Is the carer awake all night?

A live-in carer normally sleeps at night but is on hand if needed. If active night-time support is required, we can add waking night or overnight care.

What happens when the carer needs time off?

We arrange cover so support continues without a gap.

Who chooses the carer?

We match a carer to the person and their needs, and involve you and your family in the choice.

Can couples receive live-in care?

Yes — live-in care can support couples in their own home.

What happens if needs increase?

Support scales up, and our clinical team can add nursing or GP input as needed.

Is nursing care included?

Live-in care is personal, one-to-one support; nursing and GP visits are arranged alongside it through our clinical team.
