There's a gap between 'see how it goes' and a hospital admission — and that's exactly where this service lives. For chest infections, urine infections, flu, dehydration and similar illnesses, we bring the treatment to you: nursing visits twice a day, a doctor reviewing your numbers every day, and a clear plan for exactly what to do if anything changes.
Is this right for me?
You're too unwell to be left, but may not need hospital
An older relative has become acutely unwell at home
A long-term condition has flared and needs urgent review
You want a clinician to assess whether home treatment is safe
Important — this is not an emergency service
This is not a 999 replacement. If the patient has severe difficulty breathing, severe chest pain, is unconscious, has signs of a stroke, severe bleeding, or is seriously unwell, call 999 immediately. Our service is for patients clinically assessed as suitable for treatment at home.
What can we help with?
Acute illness assessed as suitable for home treatment
Flare-ups of long-term conditions
Infections needing prompt treatment
Urgent clinical review and monitoring
Escalation to hospital if needed
This service is for patients who have been clinically assessed as suitable for treatment at home. If in doubt, call us — we'll help you decide, and we'll never delay emergency care.
What happens during your visit?
Initial assessment
A clinician assesses the situation, in person or by phone, to understand how unwell the patient is.
Is home treatment safe?
We decide whether the patient can be safely treated at home, or needs hospital.
Treatment starts
If home care is appropriate, treatment begins straight away.
Nurse monitoring
Nursing visits keep a close eye on how the patient is responding.
GP review
A GP reviews progress and adjusts the plan.
Escalate if worse
If the patient deteriorates, we escalate immediately — including emergency admission.

Two nursing visits daily with full observations
A doctor reviewing your progress every day, adjusting treatment

Reviews your observations daily and directs treatment

After your visit
The patient is monitored closely and the plan adjusted as they recover. If they worsen, we escalate without delay. With consent, we keep the NHS GP informed.
We provide this service across Lurgan, Craigavon and surrounding areas. Some surrounding locations may be available depending on the service, travel requirements and clinician availability.

Booking for someone else?
Yes — a family member, carer or authorised representative can contact us to arrange this for a patient, provided the patient consents. Many of our bookings are made by a son or daughter for a parent.
Frequently asked questions
Who is this service for?
Patients who have been clinically assessed as suitable for treatment at home — the gap between 'too unwell to be left' and 'needs hospital'. If someone needs emergency care, always call 999.
When should I call 999 instead?
For severe breathlessness, chest pain, unconsciousness, signs of stroke, severe bleeding or serious sudden illness — call 999. Don't wait for us.
How quickly can you come?
We aim to respond urgently, subject to clinician availability and location. Call us and we'll be honest about what's possible.
What if you decide I need hospital?
We arrange the right escalation immediately, including speaking to hospital teams or arranging emergency admission.
Is a doctor involved?
Yes — a GP reviews the plan, with nurse monitoring in between and same-day escalation available.
