After the first fall, everything changes — confidence most of all. Our physiotherapist comes to the home and works out why it happened: balance, strength, hazards, footwear, eyesight, medicines. Then they build a practical plan — exercises, equipment, changes around the house — to prevent the next one.
Is this right for me?
A relative has had a fall
Someone is becoming unsteady on their feet
You want to reduce the risk of a future fall
There's worry about confidence and safety at home
Important — this is not an emergency service
If someone is on the floor, has hit their head, cannot move a limb, or you think they have broken a hip, call 999. This service is for planned prevention, not for someone still on the carpet.
What can we help with?
Balance and strength assessment
Home hazard review
Footwear and eyesight review
Medication review for falls risk
A plan to reduce future falls
The aim isn't simply to treat the last fall. It's to reduce the risk of the next one.

Frequently asked questions
After a fall, what are you looking for?
We look at the whole picture: the person, their medication, mobility, home environment, vision and strength — because falls usually have more than one cause.
Can this reduce future falls?
That's the goal — the plan targets the causes of falls, not just the last one, with exercises, equipment and home changes.
Do you provide the follow-up exercises?
We can refer into home physiotherapy to build strength and balance.
Can family arrange the assessment?
Yes, with the person's consent — this is often arranged by an adult child.
Do you check the home for hazards?
Yes — a home hazard review is part of the assessment.
